Mercury or Budh represent communication ability, sharp mind. It always remains close to Sun. In birth chart it can be found either with the same sign as Sun or one sign before or after. When it is very close to Sun(within 14 degree), it is considered as combust. Its color is green and stone is Emerald. Gemini and Virgo are its own sign. It is exalted in Virgo and debilitated in Pisces. Mercury is lord of Ashlesha(9), Jyeshtha(18) and Revati(27) Nakshatras. It takes 25 to 30 days to cross one sign.
